Confirmation first registration in Germany
Valid original drivers licence, passport and your residence permit.
Translation of your valid license ( ADAC or lingoking.com )
Some foreign licences can be changed without driving tests ( List of countries and fact sheed)
Applications Stuttgart or Esslingen you get in the driving school or klick here. Other applications in your local town office or in the drivers licence office.
These documents you submit to your local townhall (Rathaus/Bürgerbüro) or to the official drivers licence office (Führerscheinstelle)
Steps to get your license:
1. Registration in our driving school.
2. Fill in the application for getting a drivers licence (you receive it in our school or in your town hall)
3. Select New License (Ersterteilung) or Exchange License (Umschreibung)
4. Bring in the application to your city hall or to direct town hall but remeber the documets you need.
5. The processing time for the application is 6 weeks or more. It is not possible to do any test without the approved application.
6. If your application is approved, you get a message from us and an invoice from the TÜV. Now you are able doing the tests.
